Back To School Tips For Mom

  • Keep lunch boxes easy. It takes some time to find the right snack ideas your kids will enjoy and you will find easy to prepare. It does not have to be the most exciting lunch box, just balanced and healthy.

  • Have a laundry routine. Back to school brings so much laundry, washing and ironing. Create a laundry day that works well for you. You do not want to be short of socks or any school item during the week.

  • Organize your mornings. Time and routine are very important for kids to learn so that you and them are not late for school. Get them to set their alarm clock and manage their time and mornings easily.

  • Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A healthy nutritious breakfast puts kids in the right mood for learning, and you know you have managed to get your child to eat well at the right time of day. Try get them to sit down at the table and eat.

  • You are the best teacher.  Learning starts at home. A positive outlook is the best thing you can inspire in your children to keep them performing well at school. Encourage them as much as possible and help with homework where you can.

  • Label, label, label. It is so important to label your child's belongings. Try get them to do this themselves and be responsible. Explain the concept of “lost property” to your kids, so they know how to find lost items on their own.
