Milk Thistle

Milk thistle is a flowering herb that is native to the Mediterranean region. The seeds contain an antioxidant flavonoid complex known as silymarin, used traditionally to promote healthy liver function. Silymarin may inhibit the depletion of glutathione, an amino acid that plays a part in the body's overall defence system, as well as the liver's ability to detoxify. As an antioxidant, silymarin may have free-radical scavenging properties, allowing it to absorb harmful reactive atoms that can damage other molecules. It supports the liver's ability to function properly and may help the liver with synthesis of new proteins.

Each capsule contains:
Milk Thistle Seed Powder 200 mg
Milk Thistle Extract 200 mg

Other ingredients: Gelatine (Bovine), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, Silica.

Suggested usage:
Take one (1) to three (3) capsules per day, or as prescribed by your healthcare practitioner.

Women with a history of hormone imbalance, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and breast lumps and men with a history of prostate problems should avoid using milk thistle. Consult your health care professional, if you are using any form of hormone replacement and if you are taking any chronic medication before using milk thistle. Pregnant & breastfeeding women should avoid using this product. High doses may cause abdominal discomfort - reduce dose immediately.
