Selenium 60mcg

Selenium is a trace mineral found in soil, water and certain foods. Selenium promotes antioxidant activity in the body via glutathione peroxidase (GPX), a selenium-dependent enzyme. As an antioxidant, selenium helps guard cells against free radical damage within the body and as such supports healthy vision, lungs and other organs that may be subject to oxidative stress. Selenium also contributes to the healthy functioning of both the immune system and the thyroid gland. In addition, selenium may promote breast health in women and prostate health in men.

Each capsule contains:
Selenium (from Amino Acid Chelate) 60 mcg

Other ingredients: Gelatine (Bovine), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, Silica.

Suggested usage:
Take one (1) capsule daily, or as prescribed by your healthcare practitioner.

Consult your health care practitioner before taking this or any other product. Nutritional supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool dry place. Discontinue the use of this product where there is sensitivity towards any of the ingredients.

If you have kidney disease avoid using large doses of Selenium. If you have a history of skin cancer, avoid large doses of Selenium. If you are using chronic prescription medication to lower raised cholesterol levels, consult your health care practitioner before using Selenium. Pregnant women should not take more than 60mcg of Selenium per day.
